YouBeauty.com will partner with Cosmoprof North America’s (CPNA) exclusive Discover Beauty program to find brands for their new ecommerce site, BeautySage.com, which launches Spring 2012. The Discover Beauty program celebrates its sixth year of matching specialty leading retailers with emerging beauty and skin care brands in 2012. Cosmoprof North America will take place July 22 – 24, 2012 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Companies must be selected to participate in Discover Beauty. The key factors for Discover Beauty’s success have always been the unique brands exhibiting and the retailers that participate in the program. For these brands, show organizers arrange pre-scheduled sales meetings and events with key national and international retailers. In past years, retailers such as Nordstrom, Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman, Sephora, QVC and HSN have secured partnerships with Discover Beauty brands and this year will continue in the same vein. YouBeauty.com, created by Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Michael Roizen in 2011, explores the link between beauty and science. The site supplies visitors with quizzes and tools that measure and improve everything affecting beauty. YouBeauty will launch BeautySage this spring and carry brands that continue to bring the science of beauty message to the masses. Merchants from YouBeauty will attend the Discover Beauty meetings and then choose three brands that best fit with the BeautySage philosophy. The three selected Discover Beauty brands will be promoted and carried by BeautySage as an exclusive offering and will be marketed to their customers for a limited time. “The online commerce segment has shown tremendous growth in the past three years, and it’s expected to increase from $6.9 billion in 2010 to $9.6 billion by 2012, nearly a 40% jump. YouBeauty has managed to create such a unique point of difference in the online beauty landscape in such a short period of time. By implementing smart strategies and furthermore focusing on providing their audience with the sense of discovering beauty finds, the partnership with YouBeauty and Discover Beauty was very clear to me,” said Daniela Ciocan, director of marketing for SoGeoCos Americas/Cosmoprof North America. “Discover Beauty has solidified its position at the place where retailers find unique brands poised for success, while BeautySage will be mimicking the same philosophy by bringing cutting-edge products to their consumers along with a sense of discovery. This partnership represents perfect synergies.”
